Sixty percent of tissue magnesium is located in the skeleton. Most of the rest is within the cells. Magnesium is required for the activation or structure of more enzymes than any other mineral. Many magnesium dependent enzymes cannot use any other mineral as a replacement for magnesium. .

The role of mangesium in important biological processes is
extensive. Recognition of both its synergistic and antagonistic roles
with other nutrients can greatly enhance its therapeutic effectiveness,
thus avoiding nutritionally nduced deficiencies. As with other minerals, the blood will always maintain normalcy at the expense of tissue stores of mangesium. Tissue mineral analysis of the hair is one of the most valuable laboratory tools for evaluating magnesium status when assessed according to its physiological range with other nutritional factors. Do not be lulled into a false security by thinking that your
magnesium levels are sufficient if you have had blood work done and the
results are within range. Often times tissue magnesium levels are low
when blood work has been within the normal range. I know - it happened
to me. If you are experiencing any symptoms of magnesium deficiency contact the office to set up a consultation.
